Mr. Kyoya Kobayashi won a Poster Award in the 20th China-Japan Bilateral Symposium on Intelligent Electrophotonic Materials and Molecular Electronics (SIEMME’20). His thesis is “Visible Light Sensitives Silver-Inserted Hetero-Junction AnRh2O4/Ag/Ag1-xSbO3-y composite for Pure Water-Splitting”. He said “I am very honored that I was able to win such an award. I appreciate Prof. Irie for this opportunity and his effective guidance and advices. I am going to work harder on my research and I will do my best to get another great result.

Ms. Octavianti Naa won an award in the oral presentation of the 30th Kanto Area Symposium of the Ceramic Society of Japan held on Sept. 2-3rd, 2014. Her thesis is‘PREPARATION AND CRYSTAL STRUCTURE OF PYROCHLORE-TYPE NIOBATES AND TANTALATES WITH Sn2+. She prepared new pyrochlore-type niobates and tantalates with Sn2+ and analyzed their crystal structures by using synchrotron powder X-ray diffraction data. She said “I am very honored that I was able to win such an award. I appreciate Prof. Kumada and the members in his group.”

Ms. Chiyuki Sato won an award for excellence in the oral presentation of the 30th Kanto Area Symposium of the Ceramic Society of Japan held on Sept. 2-3rd, 2014. Her thesis is “Electrical transport properties of a-Cd-Ga-O semiconducting oxide. She said ” I am very honored that I was able to win such an award. I appreciate Prof. Yanagi and the members in his group. I will be dealing with new challenges for my researches.”

The 3rd International Seminar was held on the 25th – 27th August at Yatsugatake Royal Hotel, Yamanashi, Japan.
