Ms. Laura Tiong(Host Resercher: Prof.Masaharu Komiyama) won “Best Poster Award” commended by ACS Catalysis at the Seventh Tokyo Conference on Advanced Catalytic Science and Technology(TOCAT7 Kyoto 2014) held in Kyoto from the 1st to 6th of June. The theme of the award is “Gasification of Microalgae(Chlorella vulgaris) in Supercritical Water Using Ru and Ni Catalysts.” In this poster the effects of catalysts on the energy conversion reaction of microalgae under supercritical water conditions were investigated, and discovered for the first time that the catalytic selectivity for this reaction is structure insensitive.
