The 4th International Seminar at University of Yamanashi.
The 4th International Seminar was held on 26th -27th August at University of Yamanashi, Kofu campus.Approximately 100 researchers and students were attended for poster presentations and small-group discussions. Professors and engineers who have played pioneering roles in these areas, Prof. K. Sato (JST, Japan), Dr. N. Maeda (Dalian University of Technology, China), Dr. A. Zakutayev (National Renewable Energy Lab., USA) are invited as lecturers to speak about the latest research developments. Participants had a valuable opportunity to hear the opinions of lectures concerning the trends and future prospects in energy conversion technology.

Ms. Octavianti Naa won an award in the poster presentation of the 11th CMCEE (International Conference on Ceramic Materials and Components for Energy and Environmental Applications) on June 14-19th, 2015 at Vancouver. Her thesis is ‘Crystal structure and property for high pressure phase of NaBiO3’. She prepared a high pressure phase of NaBiO3 and investigated its crystal structure and photocatalytic property. She said “I am very honored that I was able to win such an award. I appreciate Prof. Kumada and the members in his group.”

Ms. Xu Nan won Outstanding Award in Ceramic Society of Japan Distinguished Poster Award at Annual Meeting 2015 held on March 18-20th, 2015. Her thesis is ‘Preparation of Pt Included layered Perovskite and its Photocatalytic Property’. She prepared layered niobate perovskite including Pt2+ within the interlayer space, and examined its photocatalytic activity by phenol degradation. She said “I am very honored that I was able to win such an award. I appreciate Prof. Takei and the members in the group.”
