Mr. Taro Kimura (Supervisor: Prof. Junji Inukai) won the 3rd prize of  PEFC16 Poster Award at the Pacific Rim Meeting on Electrochemical and Solid-State Science (PRiME 2016) in Honolulu, Hawaii on October 2-7th, 2016.
The title of the presentation was “Systematic Studies on the Phase Separations at Bulks and Surfaces of the Anion Exchange Membranes with Different Polymer Structures”.
In this study, the relationship between the chemical structures and the phase separations of the bulks and surfaces of the anion-conductive polymer-electrolyte membranes, main components of the next generation anion-exchange membrane fuel cells, synthesized in University of Yamanashi was elucidated for the first time through the systematically investigations employing various scientific methods.

Mr. Kimura says “I am very honored that I was able to win such an award at this one of the biggest international conference. I would appreciate Prof. Inukai, Prof. Miyatake and all the members in the group. I will continue to work harder on my research and hopefully more results could be obtained in the future.”
